Disaster preparedness & Management

The word “Tsunami” became so famous after it struck the shores of India even after some records of previous & after appearances of it in metrological records.

It originates from the Japanese language, composed of two characters, (tsu) – “Harbor” or “port” and (nami) – “Wave”, translating to “harbor wave”. As you all are aware, 26th December 2004 is remembered by Indians as we first faced its fury and devastation, dismantling all spheres of life. If we ask anyone to tell about a disaster, only Tsunami will be told. Even now my introduction starts from here. Natural & man-made disasters have predominated effects causing minimum to maximum damage wherein Earth dwellers become victims and face the affect effects of it also. Nature has changed its course bringing in lot of climatic and environmental changes.
